LPG Caravans

LPG Caravan Servicing

It must be lovely  to have some where to go and relax. It’s away from home but cosy enough to make it a second home. As loads of people do use their caravan as a second home, they will eat, shower and snuggle up just as they do in their own home.

I own a caravan that runs on LPG.  What should I know?

Many caravans are run on LPG for fuel, for cooking, hot water and heating.  You will want to make sure that your caravan is safe in the same way that you would want your home to be safe.

  • You will need to have your appliances serviced annually by a Gas Safe engineer who is registered to work with LPG
  • You should have your caravan and its appliances checked before you start using it each season.
  • Your Gas Safe engineer will check that the appliances are safe and working properly and that no carbon monoxide leaking into your caravan, which can be dangerous and life-threatening.
  • Ask to see your engineer’s Gas Safe card, which will tell you on the back whether he is qualified to work with LPG, or contact the Gas Safe Register

Be sure that your caravan is a safe place to be this summer so you can relax and rest easy on your holidays!
